We feel truly Blessed to be involved in such a supportive community, for the past 17 years. We both have such a strong passion for teaching preschool and love what we do!!! Over the years, we have created such loving memories and feel it's a privilege to be involved with such wonderful children and their families.
....My name is Corene Combs, I am married and have two loving and thoughtful sons. Building a life with my family in this wonderful community has been rewarding and a privilege to see my little boys grow up to be such accomplished young men. After marring my husband, we were stationed in Okinawa, Japan. In Okinawa I was placed as a paraprofessional in a Kindergarten classroom, what a blessing that turned out to be! That's when I caught the "Bug" for teaching young children. Through achieving my degree in Early Childhood Education and my vast experiences, I truly believe that a positive first educational experience is the key for building a love for learning and a solid foundation for life. I would like to thank my family, friends, and most importantly Donna Benjamin. I can honestly say I love what I do on a daily basis and you have taught me so many things along the way! You are a loving, amazing teacher and I am so grateful for your knowledge and friendship. I am so proud of our school and all we have accomplished together throughout the years.
....My name is Donna Benjamin. I am married and have three wonderful, successful children, and so has my husband, Dave! We feel very blessed to say that together we raised a loving "Blended" family of six. Now, I enjoy two beautiful granddaughters that own Grandma's heart completely!! After receiving my degree at Purdue University, I was very excited to teach Kindergarten and Preschool in Tennessee, Indiana, and Illinois for several years. While teaching in Illinois, I got a very exciting opportunity to open a preschool in my community. I have always felt that one of our jobs as preschool teachers, is to provide an environment to enhance and foster a child's curiosity for learning, which I knew we would always strive to achieve. I now embrace the challenges that comes with owning a preschool and I'm thankful each year I made the choice to follow my heart and open Old Stone. I am very excited to take this opportunity to thank all of you that have helped make this possible, and an especially "big thank you" to Corene Combs, for being with me every step of the way through this journey. Your teaching skills and knowledge of Early Childhood Education has been instrumental in building our program.
